On the weekend of November 16 to 17, a company called Shady Rays – perhaps best known for their variety of sunglasses – will be handing out free snow goggles to anyone who brings in a pair of any new, used, or damaged snow goggles to trade in.

The trade-in program will be taking place at six retail locations around the country, including stores in Denver, Scottsdale, Louisville, Lexington, Minneapolis, and Pigeon Forge.

“At Shady Rays, we believe that high-quality, polarized eyewear should be both affordable and worry-free,” Shady Rays Founder and CEO Chris Ratterman said. “Our Broken Replacement Program provides customers with the peace of mind that when they go hard on the slopes they don’t have to stress about scratching or breaking an expensive pair of goggles.”

There's no purchase necessary to participate. Simply bring in any brand of ski goggles for exchange – in any condition. Goggles that will be received in return are Shady Rays' black Frontier Snow Goggles model, with a black strap and 'Blackout' lenses, free of charge. This appears to be a value of about $92 based on website pricing.

Goggles that get turned in by participants will be either recycled or donated to SOS Outreach, which is a non-profit organization based in the Denver area that works to help get local youth outside, also providing mentorship.

It's also worth noting that customers who participate in the program, dubbed the Snow Goggle ReView, can also receive an additional 25 percent discount on a purchase of additional snow goggles if that purchase is made in-store at the time of trade-in.

The Denver area Shady Rays location is located at 8505 Park Meadows Center Drive, Suite 2061 in Lone Tree, Colorado. On Saturday of the deal, it's open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Sunday, it's open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
